A 21-year-old man was yesterday granted bail against a personal guarantee of €1,500 (Lm643.77) after he pleaded not guilty to stealing €800 (Lm343.34) in cash.

Magistrate Antonio Micallef Trigona, heard Samuel Borg from San Ġwann, plead not guilty to stealing the cash and a BOV Cashlink card from Amanda Curmi in Mellieħa between Monday and Wednesday.

He also pleaded not guilty to relapsing.

Police Inspector Paul Bond prosecuted.

Lawyer Anġlu Farrugia appeared for Mr Borg.
