The Maltese Olympic Committee (MOC) has entered into an agreement with Allcare Insurance Agency Limited to provide its members and affiliated clubs and athletes with a number of schemes designed for their specific needs, an MOC statement said.

Maltese athletes can now benefit from insurance schemes that cover them also when they are practising their sport, Joseph Cassar, MOC secretary general, said.

The MOC has long felt the need for specialised insurance coverage that is tailor-made to the specific requirements of athletes and sports clubs, Cassar added.

At the official launch, Judith Galea, chief executive officer at Allcare Insurance Agency, said that after months of hard work, Allcare was delighted to announce its official partnership with the MOC to offer innovative insurance products for Maltese athletes and sports clubs.

The launching was also attended by Laurie Pace, MOC director and chairperson of the Athletes' Commission, and Envic Galea, MOC director of youth.
