Having followed Floriana FC for more than 50 years, I could not help but notice those young followers longing that one day they will be celebrating a major success.

In my opinion, this season, although not yet over, was an improvement, and for this I congratulate the committee, the coaches and the players, also considering the lack of funds.

This year, the coach worked wonders as far as the striking force was concerned. Ryan Darmanin was a success, but next season we will need another strong striker, probably a foreigner to help him. The midfield department is the strongest part of the team.

One other important factor is that Christian Caruana's best position is that of being used as a support behind the two strikers.

Having noticed the strong support the team had this season, only second best to Valletta and Birkirkara, I appeal to all those supporters to become members, and for all those who assisted Floriana in the past, regarding funds, to come back again. Another suggestion is to set up a fund to donate what one can afford.

Floriana is a team with a glorious past, we cannot let it die. So, come on you boys in green.
