Volleyball
The Malta U-19 girls national team beat Ireland in straight sets in a match from the European Junior Girls Championships, currently being played in Liechtenstein. Martha Curmi and Shana Bugeja excelled for Malta while Maria Costa created a string of attacking opportunities for her team-mates. The set scores were 25-15, 25-13 and 25-20.
