ADT orders reinstatement of Marsalforn footpaths

The Malta Transport Authority said yesterday it had reminded the Żebbuġ local council in Gozo to reinstate all pavement extension works in Marsalforn carried out by the council over the past weeks.

The ADT said the works "were not covered by the necessary permits from the authority and were thus carried out illegally".

The ADT has given the council 15 days to reinstate the footpaths according to their original alignment and condition.

It also informed the council that it would not be carrying out consultation talks on the matter until all the works are satisfactorily completed.

Has the ADT been to Chadwick Lakes recently? It's about time someone in Authority sees the disaster created there with "tarmac" or in places zrar with a bit of tarmac was laid down -just a few days before March 8th!! Oh and what about the nicely laid down private lanes??? Were the necessary permits all in place? Most of the debris is choking the valley bed now.
