Obituary
AGIUS. On March 23, JOAN née Felice, aged 75, widow of Cecil, passed away peacefully at her home, comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Anna, wife of Philip Galea, her sister Margaret, grandchildren Lisa and Jean-Marc, her great-granddaughter Nicole, in-laws, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends and the Catechumenal Community.
The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Friday at 9 a.m. for Stella Maris Parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to the Hospice Movement, whom the family would like to thank for all their help, would be appreciated.
GATT. On March 24, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMELO, aged 84, of Vittoriosa, ex-teacher at Vittoriosa Primary School, co-founder and ex-president of Vittoriosa Historical and Cultural Society, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife Rita and her sisters and their husbands, in-laws, nephews and nieces in Malta and Australia, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8 a.m. for St Lawrence Collegiate Church, Vittoriosa, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Fra Diegu Institute, Ħamrun, will be greatly appreciated. The family wish to inform that they are unable to receive visitors. Lord grant him eternal rest.
MACKLIN. On March 22, NEIL, aged 32, passed away tragically as a result of a motorcycle accident. Will be sorely missed by his loving parents Alexander and Frieda Macklin, his beloved partner and best friend Lynn Simpson, other family members and many, many friends.
A memorial service will take place today at 4.30 p.m. at Naxxar Parish Church, followed by repatriation to Scotland the following day. Family flowers only, donations sent to Boffa Hospital, Neuro Rehabilitation Unit, will be appreciated.
SOLDAT. On March 25, in Waldbröl, Germany, OTTO, aged 79, passed away comforted by the rites of the Evangelic Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Erika, his daughter Netty Farrugia and his son Gerwin Soldat, his three granddaughters Jessica, Rebecca and Janica Farrugia, Ingeborg Olm and the partners of his children, Tanja Arens and Herbert Skok.
The funeral will be held in Germany.

Soft furnishing and cottage craft courses
The Malta Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce will be holding courses in soft furnishing and cottage craft.
The soft furnishing course will concentrate mainly on curtain making and will consist of both theory and practice. It will cover about 100 valances and pelmets in different styles and will vary from classic to rustic, modern or cottage. Participants will learn how to draw up the patterns themselves and will also learn how much material is needed and what measurements would be required. Participants do not need to be able to sew.
The cottage craft course consists of learning how to decorate various items such as frames, jewel boxes, baskets and other items for particular occasions such as Christmas, weddings and Easter.
The cost of each course is €20.96 (Lm9) for 10 lessons.

Courses in crib building, architectural models
The Malta Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce will be holding a course on Christmas crib building with the cooperation of Għaqda Ħbieb Tal-Presepju and another on Model Buildings And Landscapes for Dioramas and Architectural Models.
Both courses will each consist of 10 two-hour lessons. The fee for each course is €20.96 (Lm9).

Real estate talk
Re/Max will be holding a talk entitled 60 Minutes With Re/Max today at 7 p.m. at the Westin Dragonara, St Julians.
The event is open to real estate consultants and to persons aspiring to become property consultants.
