We went for an outing with our teacher. We left school at around 10.30 a.m. on a bus that took us to a theatre in Ħamrun. We saw a play called Hans and Greta. It was about two children who had a cruel mother. One day, they went into the forest to cut fresh vegetables. Then they went by the river to get some water to make the soup. After that, they met the witch who took them to her house, which was made of sweets. Then the witch put Hans in a cage and gave him fruit and vegetables only to eat. He became strong and when the witch tried to put him in the oven, he put her in the oven instead. We enjoyed this play and we learned that healthy eating makes us strong. Healthy habits include eating healthy food and doing exercise.

I went to see a play with my school mates, called Hans and Greta. It was about healthy food. It was about a girl and a boy named Hans and Greta. Their mother gave them only peas and water every day. One day they went into the woods where they met a witch. The wicked witch gave them many sweets and other unhealthy foods. Hans was becoming very fat when, suddenly, a good wizard came. The good wizard told the children to eat healthy food and to do a lot of physical exercise. The witch came and gave the children more junk food, but they didn't take it. At last they got rid of the witch and started to eat only healthy food.

We went to the theatre at the Drama Unit and the play started. There was a witch who started singing and then a king spoke to a joker. Hans and Greta appeared sweeping the floor of their mother's house. They quarrelled a lot because Hans didn't help Greta and when their mother came back she shouted at both of them. Their parents decided that Hans and Greta had to leave home and go to live in the forest where they could learn to cook and eat alone. When they arrived in the forest they smelled a nice smell of sweets and Hans saw a house of chocolate and sweets and started to eat it. When the witch arrived she told them to join her in the house and eat anything they wanted. When the doctor went to visit their parents, the children weren't there and he told the parents that they were not eating properly. The witch put Hans in a cage so that she could eat him up. The joker came to the witch's house and when he saw Hans in the cage he said the magic word and freed him. The joker told Greta to feed Hans good things like carrots, fruit and white meat.

It was a play in Maltese. At first, the witch came and she sang that she wanted to build a house of sweets to catch children. Then the king of fairies came and told Brunġielu, the silly fairy, to go to stop her. Brunġielu was afraid of the witch Ċellulita and he told us to help him by saying the magic words, "Eżerċizzju u ikel bnin! Hekk iridu il-bnedmin". This made his magic stronger. Then Hans and Greta came. Hans was very lazy and funny and fell off the bench all the time. Their mother was evil and only wanted to go shopping. She only gave them peas to eat. She gave them a punishment and sent them to sleep outside. Greta and Hans ran into the forest. When they were hungry they saw a house of sweets and began to eat it. But the witch came and tricked them. She put Hans in a cage and told Greta to feed him junk food. Brunġielu came and helped Hans to do exercises and to eat healthy food. Then he chose me and my friend to dance with him in the exercise. The witch knew it was a trick and she ran after Greta. But Hans had become strong and he broke her magic cage and threw her in the oven. Then their father came and they lived happily ever after. I liked the part where the witch ran after Greta best because it was so funny. In this play we learned that healthy eating and daily exercise make us strong.
