Outstanding talks
The waiting list for surgical operations, the distribution of medicine and other issues related to the care of the elderly as well as changes to the pensions law are among the topics the General Workers' Union wishes to discuss with new Social Policy Minister John Dalli.
The union said talks on these subjects had been started with ministers in the previous government but remained pending.
