Narcotics Anonymous this Friday is to hold a national convention on the theme "Choosing Life". It will follow up last year's successful convention which enabled members, guests and professionals to share their experiences.

Narcotics Anonymous is a non-profit voluntary organisation made up recovering drug addicts who meet regularly to support each other in staying ‘clean'.

Friday's convention will give drug users, still battling with their addiction, the opportunity to see and hear recovering addicts talk about how they are coping with staying off drugs and share their stories with the professionals working in this area.

The convention will be held at the Suncrest Hotel in Qawra, from 6 p.m., and is open to all. Entrance is free.

A workshop will also be held on Saturday followed by an alcohol-free party in the evening.
