Innovative bank charges

"Innovation" springs up frequently in our parlance about competitiveness. Ironically, it often seems most prevalent where it should not be - the banks' ever-mounting charges on SMEs. And with a touch of ingenuity to boot!

The latest, surprisingly, comes from the "world's local bank", which is threatening a client company with an additional charge if its audited financial statements for 2007 are not submitted this week. Will auditors protest? The GRTU? The MFSA?
