Gharb Local Council, in collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo, will present the second edition of the Seher il-Punent weekend programme of cultural events between this Friday and Sunday.

The activities will be focused on Church Street, Visitation Square and surrounding areas in the village core. The village square see performances by popular artistes including Morena and Tribute Band ZU2, specially brought over from the UK, on Saturday.

Band marches will provide the ‘festa' whilst four roving re-enactors in Venetian costume will mingle with the crowds. Food stalls will be serving traditional food on specially set-up tables in the main square.

There will also be the re-enactment of ‘il-Qiegħa' (straw harvesting), visits to a local wine cellar for wine-tasting sessions, and walking tours. Museums and the nearby Ta' Dbieġi Crafts Village will stay open.
