Archbishop to lead pilgrimage to Holy Land

Archbishop Paul Cremona will lead 168 pilgrims to the Holy Land between March 30 and April 7, the Curia said.

In the first part of the pilgrimage, pilgrims will visit various locations including Nazareth, Mount Tabor, Mount Carmel and other holy sites such as the Jordan River and Cana.

During the pilgrimage, Mgr Cremona will also call on the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem and meet the Maltese serving there.

The next part of the pilgrimage will include trips to Bethlehem and the Church of the Nativity. The final part will be focused in Jerusalem and activities will include a visit to the Bethphage Sanctuary, where Christ began his walk on Palm Sunday. The pilgrimage will end with a visit to Emmaus, Mount Sihon and the Jewish Quarters.

The pilgrimage is being organised by the Holy Land Commission of the Franciscan Minors.
