Għarb festival

Seħer il-Punent, a festival of arts, crafts, history and heritage, will be held for the second year at Għarb from Friday to Sunday.

The aim of the festival is to keep Għarb's religious, cultural and traditional elements alive," mayor David Apap said.

This event is mainly sponsored by the Gozo Incentives Scheme under the Good Causes Fund.

Visitors to Seħer il-Punent can tour various venues, which are transformed into a showcase of the arts and crafts in Għarb. The programme also includes re-enactments of village life in the past. Entertainers taking part include country singer Marisa D'Amato, the Spiteri Lucas Band, J Anvil, Ludwig Galea, Nadine Axisa, Augusto Cardinali, comedian Joe Demicoli, Freddie Portelli, Morena, and the Big Band Brothers.

Throughout the three-day festival, there will be band marches by the Visitation Band.

Food will also be available.
