Your hobby is not everyone's and I hope that one day soon these people will release that they do not have the unconditional support of everyone on these islands, though they act as though they do.
'The Malta Environment and Planning Authority's decision-making process has been temporarily shut down by the Prime Minister as he prepares to take on the reform he promised before the election. The government said all of Mepa's public board meetings and those of the Development Control Commissions were "suspended until further notice" and that no planning decisions would be taken for the time being'

Apart from fine words, that is?
1. The meagre resources available to the OHSA
2.The lack of an effective enforcement arm available
3. A police force waiting for tip-offs to act on said tip-offs
What do you expect? You cannot have your cake (explosive or not) and eat it!
Lest my eyes deceive me we are assisting at too many of these incidents of this sort since the Naxxar explosion. Pity a young mum's life is lost. Maybe her loss will at last be the start of a more strict regime to control import and distribution of explosive material .
Here I seriously propose to the government .... Much more enforcement and control is needed in this issue. From what we are seeing there seem to be flaws in the system which need to be addressed fast before another life is lost. This issue is a major threat for us citizens.
How about doing what the PM did with MEPA?
1. With immediate effect suspend all such imports and re-examine import licences for explosive materials.
2. Close down all manufacturing sites which do not comply with safety standards.
3. Specify a limit as to what extent of explosive material can be stored or manufactured in a given area.
