Alexander Anthony Whiteford was jailed for 18 months by Magistrate Saviour Demicoli after he pleaded guilty to having threatened his mother Carmen Whiteford, damged had property, lived as a vagabond and made use of false names.
He was also accuced of breaking the conditions of a previous sentence and of having stolen money from his mother, but his mother had forgiven him.
Whiteford was also fined €465 and a personal guarantee of €100 so ensure there is no further trouble with his mother.
