Figures published by the government said that the March 2008 electoral register increased over that of 2003 by 17,280.

We were also told by the same source that the March 2008 electoral register contained 315,000 (+) voters and that 993 of these had died since its publication. Which means that there were 314,000 (+) voters for this election. In other words a 6.1 per cent increase on the 2003 electoral register. National statistics show that population growth rate stands at 0.42 per cent per annum, or 2.1 per cent for the years 2003-2008.

Add an extra 0.5 to allow for population aging shifts and the arithmetic compound effect.

The difference between 2.6 per cent and 6.1 per cent is 3.5 per cent, which is equivalent to a staggering 10,385 voters!

In spite of all this, I share everybody's conviction that we have a legal and legitimate government running this fantasy island where nothing is impossible for those who stand together.
