Dear Junior News, my pet is a parrot. His name is Spyro. My dad bought it for me as a present. He has a lot of coloured feathers. He eats seeds and fruits. He loves to play and fly. My father takes care of Spyro when I am at school and when he is at work, I look after him. He is a very playful bird. He is only a baby but he is very cunning.
He has a big cage and two small boxes, one with water and the other with seeds. In my free time I open his cage so can fly and play with me. He has a newspaper in his cage so I can clean his cage by changing the newspaper. I change it when it is dirty.
I have a lot of photos of him. I cut his nails when they grow long. When he wants to play with me he whistles. I wish that Spyro will never die. I like having Spyro as my pet and I love him so much.
Spyro sounds like a brilliant pet Xylon. And he is lucky to have an owner like you, who cares for him so well. As you say, parrots are very intelligent and Spyro will enjoy learning to talk and having toys to play with so he doesn't get bored when he is on his own.
