Lira-euro exchange deadlines

The Malta Bankers Association yesterday reminded the public that Maltese lira banknotes and coins can be exchanged for euros or deposited at banks until Saturday.

Banknotes can also be deposited through ATMs, deposit machines or night safe facilities until Monday.

The Central Bank will continue to exchange coins until February 1, 2010 and banknotes until January 31, 2018.
