Junior Skeet shooter Clive Farrugia continued to leave a good impression last weekend following another superb showing in a Malta Shooting Sport Federation competition at the Bidnija Ranges.

Farrugia, 16. hit a straight of 25 clays on his way to winning the Keepers Trophy in convincing style.

His tally at the competition stage was 116 from 125. Farrugia entered the final with a seven-clay lead over his nearest rival and extended his fine form into the barrage with a 24 for a significant overall tally of 140.

Many at Bidnija reckoned Farrugia's score was indeed remarkable considering his tender age and the little experience he has garnered so far in such competitions.

Farrugia finished well ahead of runner-up Darren Vella on Sunday. The latter settled for second place with 130 hits.

Joe Muscat was third with 119, ahead of Jason Sciberras, 116, and Elenio Mifsud, in fifth position, with 114 clays.
