Local football: Hamrun, Floriana draw

Floriana and Hamrun Spartans drew 1-1 in their first encounter in the Championship Pool. Both teams looked bereft of inspiration for long stretches.


Floriana enjoyed an early early lead but suffered an equaliser from Hamrun even when the Spartans were a man down after Fenech was dismissed.

The Floriana opener came midway through the first half through Krsteski and Hamrun equalised 17 minutes from time thanks to Effiong .
