Daniel Scerri, 38 of Naxxar, this morning pleaded not guilty to illegally manufacturing and storing fireworks on and before March 13 at his residence in Sta Marija Street, Naxxar.

The accused said he never made fireworks and the fireworks that were found at his farmhouse belonged to his father who had passed away and these were to be thrown away.

He was granted bail against a personal guarantee of €5,000 and a deposit of €500.
