Popular Italian singer Claudio Baglioni has recorded and released the Maltese song "L-Aħħar Bidwi F'Wied il-Għasel" on the SONY/ BMG label.

Italian music fans who attended the Claudio Baglioni Concert for the O'SCIA Foundation together with Riccardo Cocciante and Gianni Morandi in Valletta last August were pleasantly surprised to hear Baglioni sing "L-Aħħar Bidwi F'Wied il-Għasel".

The song was composed by Paul Abela with lyrics by Alfred C. Sant and was originally released by the late Maltese singer Sammy Bartolo and New Cuorey.

As a musician and singer, Claudio Baglioni made it big in the 1970s with the song "Questo Piccolo Grange Amore" and has had an internationally acclaimed career ever since with such hits such as Strada Facendo, A Modo Mio, and others.
