A 32-year-old motorcyclist from Naxxar is in a critical condition after the BMW motorcycle he was driving was involved in a head-on collision with a car late on Friday.

The incident happened just before midnight in St Andrews Road, Pembroke. The car was being driven by a 45-year-old man from Valletta. He was not injured.

Magistrate Antonio Vella is heading an inquiry.
