A 30-year-old worker from Xgħajra suffered serious injuries in a three-storey fall while he was working on a building in Valletta Street, Luqa yesterday morning.

The police said preliminary investigations indicated the man lost his balance.

Fellow workers gave him first aid until an ambulance arrived.

Civil Protection Department personnel were also called to the site.

The police said the man sustained fractures.
