Quick-thinking neighbours last night extinguished a fire outside a residence in Triq il-Qoton in Naxxar.

The police said the front door blaze was reported shortly before 4 a.m. and was put out by the nieghbours using water.

The house facade suffered some damage but no one was injured.

Police investigations are under way.
