A 32-year-old motorcyclist from Naxxar is in critical condition after the BMW motorcycle he was driving was involved in a head-on crash with a Volswagen Polo.

The incident happened just before midnight in St Andrews Road, Pembroke. The car was being driven by a 45 year old man from Valletta.

Magistrate Antonio Vella is heading an inquiry.
