International French electric company Legrand held its annual conference in Malta this week, with representatives saying the island was an ideal choice for such events.
The Legrand Group's week-long conference included team-building exercises with the participation of 21 teams consisting of employees from 29 different countries and from different sectors of the company. The teams first went on a boat trip around the Grand Harbour and then proceeded to undertake a number of exercises, including coordinating a video production and mounting a photographic exhibition expressing solidarity through diversity.
Group vice president, purchasing Jean-Pierre Rouffet told The Times said the choice fell on Malta for various reasons: the wonderful climate, close proximity of all amenities required and the success the company had in the past when holding events in Malta. Communication was the key when holding such an event and this is where Malta excelled, he said.
The group engaged MiMalta Ltd, a locally-based event company that specialises in organising corporate events such as meetings, incentive travel and conferences, on a local and international basis.
