Broken curse
Now that the election fever is over, I wonder how Alex Saliba (The Curse, January 30) feels considering that the curse, as he liked to call it, is broken.
For the benefit of those readers who were not spellbound by his letter, because they were not lucky enough to read it, I will just highlight what was in it: All the mishaps that happened to the PN and Lawrence Gonzi, such as the MEP elections, the fall from government of Australia's premier after Dr Gonzi's visit, the malfunctioning of the ATM and much more.
When are we going to grow up?

Over the years, the MLP have become masters of winning skirmishes but still notoriously inept at winning wars.
Now they are sorting out the 'seasoned' wood trying to fashion out a modern Kap who they hope will lead them out of the wilderness of the Opposition.
I wish them luck - maybe they will find a 'disgruntled' Nationalist to solve their problem. They will stand a better chance then selecting from the dead wood they perennially stock.

I would also like to point out to Alex Saliba that "he who laughs last, laughs best"...
