Alligators Cisk 0
Stompers TGI ran out easy winners but had to stay focused all the way in a match played in typical wintry conditions at Marsa last weekend.
The speedy Stompers launched attacks from all positions. Territorially, however, Alligators enjoyed a slight advantage, through the kicking of Jamie Acheson. A lack in timing was Alligators' downfall though.
Frenchman Guilaume Boulais scored two impressive tries from full back. Jovan Reljic converted the first. Then, following a superb Stompers move, Andrew Camilleri scored another try, converted by Reljic.
Darren Mascena was in fine form for Stompers and after a series of swift raids Jason Cornthwaite scored a try, converted by Reljic, to give Stompers a 26-0 half-time lead.
The second half began with Alligators pressing their opponents. However, at the other end, Patrick Satariano had the luck of the bounce to gallop in for another try.
Some upcoming Stompers replacements, such as Christopher Zerafa and Jan Zammit came on at this stage.
Zerafa contributed with a try and there were others from Steven Attard, Dragan Cerketa and man of the match Max Galea.
Referee: Donald Hewer.
Other result: Budweiser Sharks vs Globalair Overseas 0-15.
