The Blood Transfusion Centre has made another urgent appeal for blood.

Angelo Degiorgio, manager of the centre, said a serious shortage exists and blood of all types is required.

The blood transfusion centre is situated near St Luke's Hospital in Guardamangia and opens from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily including public holidays and Sundays.

Blood donors should take their identity card when they go to donate blood.
