Car thieves caught red handed

Two men, aged 42 and 34, were arrested by the police this afternoon after being caught red handed stealing from parked cars.

The police said traffic policemen driving through Floriana in the afternoon were informed that two individuals were stealing from cars in Sarria Street.

The police conducted a search of the area and found a man in a car trying to remove radio equipment using a screwdriver. Another man was found near the car, with a screwdriver and part of a car stereo.

Both were arrested.
