Said elected in Gozo
Chris Said, Mayor of Nadur, has been elected to Parliament, taking the seat vacated by PN veteran Anton Tabone, the former Speaker and minister, who was not a candidate.
Mr Tabone had been elected to the House in 1966 when he contested the election in the last minute instead of his father, a serving politician, who had been taken ill. Unfortunately for Mr Tabone, his own son Roberto was unable to do likewise and has been eliminated.

A well deserved congratulations goes to Dr Chris Said. He really deserves it to be in Parliament. All Gozitans are proud of him!!
