Champion jump jockey Tony McCoy is fit to ride at this week's Cheltenham Festival after recovering from a back injury that has kept him out since January, the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) said.
"Our chief medical adviser has passed him fit to ride," BHA spokesman Paul Struthers said.
Irishman McCoy, 33, was treated for a fractured vertebrae after a heavy fall in Warwick, England, on January 12. McCoy, 12-times champion in Britain, has ridden 132 winners this season.
The Cheltenham Festival takes place from March 11-14.
