996 uncollected voting documents in 12th district
The 12th district (composed of Mellieħa, St Paul's Bay and Naxxar) has by far the largest number of uncollected voting documents and the smallest percentage of potential voters, statistics issued this afternoon by the Electoral Commission show.

While a total of 315,357 people in Malta and Gozo are listed in the Electoral Register, almost 1,000 voting documents were withheld by the Electoral Commission for various reasons, mostly because the persons concerned had died. A further 5,266 voting documents remained uncollected, leaving 309,016 voters able to vote.
While that is 98 percent of the total, the average varies somewhat per district.
Whereas 98.72 percent of registered voters on the seventh district (Zebbug (Malta); Dingli; Mġarr; Mtarfa; and Rabat ) actually can vote tomorrow, in the twelfth district that percentage falls to 95.59 percent.
While only 192 voting documents were uncollected in the sixth district, (Qormi, Luqa, Siggiewi), 996 were uncollected in the 12th.
The figures were the following:
First district, 349 voting documents uncollected, 22,918 potential voters (98.10%)

Fourth district, 249 voting documents uncollected, 23,237 potential voters (98.68%)
Fifth district, 292 voting documents uncollected, 23,847 potential voters (98.53%)
Sixth district, 192 voting documents uncollected, 23,912 potential voters (98.59%)
Seventh district, 230 voting documents uncollected, 24,293 potential voters (98.72%)
Eighth district, 297 voting documents uncollected, 23,810 potential voters (98.52%)
Ninth district, 467 voting documents uncollected, 23,301 potential voters (97.78%)
