Showjumping competition

Last Sunday saw one of the best-attended showjumping competitions of the season, with over 35 entries in all classes.

Riders competed at the Maghtab Riding Clubs Championship where horse and rider teams accumulate points according to the number of wins or placings. Some upcoming riders stood out, in particular Desiree Schmid on her mare Love Parade. She finished with two wins.

Winners: Pre-Novice (50 cm) - Rudy Borg on Max. Novice juniors (70 cm) - Desiree Schmid on Queenie. Novice adults (70 cm) - Lucy Darmanin on Poppy. Intermediate juniors (85 cm) - Daniel Micallef on Ginger.

Intermediate adults (85 cm) - Sarah Micallef on Tia. Advanced juniors (1m - 1.1m): Schmid on Love Parade. Advanced adults (1m - 1.1m) - Zoya Denis on Jaspar. Open Class - Schmid on Love Parade.
