'No case of corruption'

No case of corrupt practices involving Rural Affairs and Environment Minister George Pullicino has emerged from a police interview with Jo Said, following his allegations with regard to the minister, the government said yesterday.

Mr Pullicino yesterday received correspondence from the police about the outcome of their investigations.

After the allegations had appeared in a weekly newspaper, Mr Pullicino had asked the police to investigate, the government said.

The police are known to have approached both Mr Said and Nationalist candidate David Agius and concluded there were no indications of corrupt practices.
