Malta completed its commitments in the Futsal World Cup qualifiers on a negative note after they were soundly beaten by Slovenia 13-0 in their final match of the mini-tournament at Corradino yesterday.

The Slovenians, who qualified to the next stage with maximum points from three matches, were in a class of their own and they were already five goals ahead at half-time.

When play restarted, the Slovenians kept up the pressure to add eight more goals to wrap up a convincing win.

Slovenia topped the group ahead of Albania who yesterday beat Greece 7-6.
