Man accused of threatening girlfriend with knife

A 24-year-old man was this morning remanded in custody after he pleaded not guilty to threatening his former girlfriend with a knife and assaulting a policeman.

Magistrate Doreen Clarke heard Rennie Gauci from Cospicua plead not guilty to assaulting and resisting police officers on Sunday afternoon, slightly injuring a policeman, threatening his former girlfriend with a knife, causing damage to the front door of her house, throwing object, breaching the public peace and shouting obscenities. He also pleaded not guilty to relapsing.
