Three year deal for MTV concerts signed

The Isle of MTV will be coming to Malta for the next three years after the government signed an agreement with the organisers this morning.

The deal builds on the success of the Isle of MTV concert staged in Floriana last summer in front of 50,000 people.
By virtue of this agreement the summer musical event will be hosted in Malta in June this year as well as in 2009 and 2010.

The talent line-up for this summer’s edition, that is free to the public, will be announced in the coming weeks. The event will take place over four days to include club nights in Malta and Gozo, a beach party and the actual concert.

Tourism Minister Frances Zammit Dimech signed the agreement with MTV Networks International representatives Kevin Razvi and Richard Godfrey.
