Depiro centre Joselle Cardona has been named Peugeot player of the month for January by the Malta Basketball Association.

Cardona was presented with her award by Ottavio Terribile, vice-president of the MBA.

During January, Depiro reached the semi-finals of the Louis Borg Cup and also retained their second placing in the national league.

Cardona, who scored a total of 49 points last month, is currently the league's top rebounder with 179 rebounds - an average of 11.19 per game.
