The first plastic for recycling produced by the Material Recovery Facility at the Sant’ Antnin Recycling Plant left the plant yesterday.
The consignment of 44 bales weighed a total of 10 tonnes, the equivalent of around 250,000 plastic bottles, was transported in two trailers to a local company, C&V Polymers, which will shred it and prepare it for export.
The MRF at Sant’Antnin started operating earlier this month and is currently in the commissioning phase.
