Man pleads guilty to drug possession, gambling

A 34-year-old man this morning pleaded guilty to possession of heroin and to illegal gambling. Magistrate Lawrence Quintano heard Martin Debono, of Hamrun, admit to the possession of heroin and illegal gambling inside a bar in Hamrun. He also pleaded guilty to relapsing. Sentencing will be at a later date.

Police Inspector Victor Aquilina prosecuted. Veronique Dalli was defence counsel.
