Labour MP sues PBS, PN for libel
Shadow Justice Minister Anġlu Farrugia yesterday filed a libel suit against Public Broadcasting Services and the Nationalist Party's secretary general Joe Saliba claiming that a defamatory television clip was aired on TVM shortly before Xarabank on Friday.
Dr Farrugia claimed that the clip, a paid advert by the Nationalist Party, insinuated that he was involved in criminal activities that had occurred within the police force. The clip was broadcast at about 10 p.m.
