The Malta Confederation of Women's Organisations (MCWO) held its third annual general meeting at the parish hall, Attard.
Anna Borg, chairman, said the main priority of the confederation was to continue to work and lobby on issues related to gender equality at both a national and European level.
The goals and objectives will remain focused on the economic independence of women and the reconciliation of private and professional life.
The confederation will support women in positions of leadership and decision making, lobby for the suppression of domestic violence and on issues related to women's health, pensions and immigrant women, she said.
The confederation is a full member of the Brussels-based European Women's Lobby (EWL) which has 4,000 members.
