Labour's positions
Position One: Alfred Sant says that that he wants to halve the surcharge for everyone.
Position Two: He declares that he wants to remove the surcharge completely.
Position Three: Dr Sant says that only household bills would have half the surcharge taken off.
Position Four: 24 hours later he says that small businesses would also have their surcharge reduced, but not halved.
Position Five: Shouldn't Dr Sant remain in the opposition half of our Parliament?

Dan , there are four brand names of brooms where to choose from.
All new brooms sweep clean.
It depends a lot on the sweeper , wether the job is done efficiently or not.
Sweeper Fred swept a lot under the carpet , and kept grumbling for 20 months about the filth left from his predecessor.
Laurence got the job from a retired sweeper , made no fuss , and started sweeping with the brooms which knew the corners.He is telling us "look I cleaned the place , I know there is more to do , and I promise that if you buy me new brooms I will use them"
Every now and then Fred used to come to the place and pinpoint at some dust in a remote corner ,and only grumbled about the filth.
Which SWEEPER would you choose?

Who needs halving the surcharge when one can halve one's tax bill with the PN's option.
Who needs a new broom with people like Joe Debono Grech, Leo Brincat, Joe Brincat, Joe Mizzi, George Vella, etc, etc, not to mention Dr Sant himself, tried, tested and failed.

I find spin letters rather amusing and a trifle sad. I can see so many ambiguities if that is what I seek. Example : Position 1. We are asked to vote for the party in Government because of all that has been achieved Position 2. We are told that should the party in Government win the coming election the old ministers (who are the persons responsible for all the trumpeted successes) will be replaced by new blood. What I write is of course spin, but why o why can not we have a mature debate so that we can really feel proud of our nation. Until then I will shift my vote every other election on the basis of ‘a new broom sweeps clean’ principle. I feel that a new broom is desperately needed now.

Someone who lately was mentioned by Dr Sant said"the bigger the lie ,the more it is believed". Need any proof?
