Chris Dingli has placed second in the first Ear to the Underground competition for buskers, in which the Maltese public were urged to support him by voting online.

The winner was Hadar Manor, crowned London's Queen of the Underground and announced as the capital's best busker. Born in Jerusalem, Ms Manor, 28, claimed £5,000 in prize money and the chance to perform with a major act at a future Capital 95.8FM gig.
