An own goal from Stephen Craigan gave Hearts a 1-0 win over Motherwell in the Scottish Premier League yesterday.

Craigan deflected a 20-metre shot from Icelandic midfielder Eggert Jonsson high into his own net in the 11th minute but Motherwell stay third in the table with 44 points from 25 games.

Hibernian scored twice in the opening five minutes to secure a 2-0 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Striker Colin Nish fired in a 20-metre drive and Steve Fletcher grabbed the other. Dundee United and Falkirk drew 0-0 in the day's other game.

Leaders Rangers, on 59 points, are at home to bottom club Gretna today while second-placed Celtic, four points behind, travel to St Mirren.
