New FELTOM president

Andrew Mangion has been elected president of the Federation of English Language Teaching Organisations (FELTOM).

FELTOM members John Dimech, Louis Grech, Greg Burrell, Paul Fenech and Maurice Rizzo were elected to serve on the executive board.

Mr Mangion said: "The focused areas will be the continued development of the FELTOM accreditation scheme, the expansion of FELTOM membership, the improvement of standards, the consolidation and further development of the EFL industry, the expansion of the accommodation supply in Malta for English language students and the need to work with local authorities on visas and industry regulation."

FELTOM was established in 1989 to set, improve and ensure that English standards are maintained in Malta. For more information visit www.feltom.com.
