After being named Australia's Car of the Year, the Hyundai i30 has now been awarded the accolade in Spain. This is the first time an Asian car has been named 'Car of the Year' in Spain, a prize so far exclusively shared among European brands.

This award does not only highlight the i30's credentials in this segment but also demonstrates that Hyundai's efforts to develop specific vehicles for the European market are recognised and appreciated not only by customers but also by the trade. The jury consisted of 52 journalists from a mix of different media, such as daily, special interest, television, radio and agencies, all spread over the different major publishing houses.

To celebrate this new title, local agents Meridian Entrprises are offering new i30 clients €700 (Lm300.51) worth of free accessories and interest-free hire purchase terms for the first six months.

The i30 Classic 109bhp 1.4 petrol comes with air-conditioning, electrically assisted power steering, driver and passenger airbags with side curtain airbags, remote central locking, front electric windows and mirrors, rear split seats, immobiliser, rev counter, anti- whiplash head restraints, radio CD and Mp3 player with six speakers, USB and auxiliary ports, and ABS with EBD.

The i30 delivers better fuel efficiency and significantly reduced CO2 emissions.
