The Nationalist Party held a marathon TV fund-raising show yesterday and raised 552,020 euro for its general election campaign.

The event was rounded off by Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi, who thanked supporters for their contributions and urged all to continue working hard to persuade all the undecided that the PN had the best programme for their future.

Dr Gonzi will today be going to the two poles of the Maltese political map, addressing an activity at Gavino Gulia Square in Cospicua in the morning and a mass meeting in Sliema in the afternoon.

The MLP will hold its own fund raising event today, the highlight being a mass meeting on the granaries.
